Week 8: Cue Pomp and Circumstance

It’s Graduation Day!!!  We are officially 8 weeks and 2 days pregnant.  The baby’s heart was beating at 171 bpm and he/she was measuring right around an inch. The little alien was also wanting everyone to see him/her wiggle it just a little bit.  We have been released by our fertility clinic and have entered into the world of doctors and midwives.  My heart swells with joy.  We’re having a baby, we’re really having a baby!  It’s not a dream!

Look mom, I’m floating!!!

We’re lucky…we know…we do not take that for granted…Our dream of making a baby is becoming a reality…One of our friends started a 40 day prayer the day of our IUI so I thought I’d share a sentence or two…

Father, I ask that you please continue to guide and bless their relationship with peace, faith, health, protection, and joy, as well as love and support for each other and from family and friends.  Please bless both of them as they take the necessary steps to bring a new life into this world.

And I am feeling…blessed…it’s not a word I use often because I think it is overused…but in this instance I think it fits the best. The joy I feel right now is manifesting itself in me ugly crying over the smallest things (And I really did want Scott to win Hell’s Kitchen…it also could be the PMS)…
