Day 17: Our Nursery – A Pictorial

I realized that I had never shared what our nursery looks like. We had such a fun time pulling pieces together to make the perfect space for our little one. I developed an obsession with the color grey while trying to keep it gender neutral. I also wanted to buy every elephant I could find. I did finally realize a girl can have too any elephants and added a pig.

  • The crib was one of the first items we bought. It is just rustic enough. It converts to a full size bed so we thought it was a great investment!
  • The birch tree vinyl decals were an easy addition to the wall.

  • We searched forever for the perfect rug! We loved how this grey rug added some pops of color to the room.
  • The footstool was a Salvation Army find and recovered by me and my MIL.

  • The rocking chair was also a thrift store find. I painted it white and distressed it.

  • The changing table was a thrift store find I bought to store my craft items in. This piece was a crazy yellow color when I bought it then I painted it black and white with checkerboard knobs. However, I thought it would make a great changing table so I painted it white, distressed it and added hand painted knobs I bought on ETSY from Gypsy Lane Designs.
  • The changing table portion was built by my BIL and I painted it grey to match the room.
  • The baskets are from Ikea
